Stephen Muir BA (Hons), ACA, director

Stephen is a chartered accountant with more than ten years’ experience. Before joining Whale Rock, he was a senior audit manager with a top ten firm of chartered accountants and his experience includes the natural resources sector, as well as media and advertising.

His clients have included a number of well-known brands and he has worked with listed and private companies operating in the UK and overseas. Stephen has an extensive knowledge of UK GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards and US GAAP.

Stephen has wide experience of the AIM market and the particular challenges that companies within this market face, allowing him to advise on complex accounting issues including the differences between various international financial reporting standards, debt/equity and hedge accounting and joint operating agreement accounting.
